Liif Tea, LLCTM (Liif) is a Chicago-based importer, wholesaler and retailer of specialty loose leaf teas and accessories. Founded by Laura Moran in 2007, Liif offers premium products and destination tea events tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

We hand select the highest quality leaves from some of the most coveted tea-producing regions in the world and, at times, blend them with exquisite aromatics and flavors especially for you. Chosen for exceptional taste, quality and aroma, each tea is developed with great attention to detail and passion for the extraordinary.

What culminates in your beautifully nuanced cup of tea and revitalizing experience begins much earlier in some of the most exotic, far-away places on earth. Liif works directly with world-renowned tea estates and brokers to select the best, typically single-estate and hand-plucked leaves. This means that no leaves from other estates are blended into a given tea. It also means that you can taste subtle differences in flavor of that tea throughout the year much like you would with different vintages of a fine wine.

Liif’s clean and well-balanced flavors are the result of our obsession with bringing you something truly unique and special. Our focus on purity, luxury, and a beautiful lifestyle is part of our mission to deliver a premium tea experience from the crop to your cup, or from the pick to the pour.

Delivering a Superior Experience

To help ensure freshness, our packaging protects against air, light and moisture and carries one of the most stringent “best by” dates on the market set at one year from production. Our best-by dates do not indicate expiration but rather maximum freshness; you still have one to two years to enjoy your Liif products after these dates. Our packaging and marketing materials are also made of recycled, re-usable and/or recyclable materials, including the inks and adhesives so that together we can help preserve our environment.

Since much of tea preparation and enjoyment relies on accessories, our selection process is based on quality, convenience and appearance. This helps ensure that your accessories add something special to your tea experiences.

Our tea events are fun ways to explore a variety of teas while learning such things as where they come from, how tea has shaped history and cultures around the world and their presumed health benefits. Each event is unique, created specifically for you.
